Rick, the kids, and I headed up to Chicago this past weekend for the annual Family Fun Night at Soldier Field. (Oh and Rodney came too.)
RJ and Heidi really enjoyed all of the activities that they had to offer on the lawn at Soldier Field They played for a couple of hours. (Actually all combined, they probably played for 10 minutes and stood in line for an hour and 50 minutes, but they enjoyed themselves anyway).
They got to see how tall they were in comparison to Nathan Vasher (#31). And they got to spin a wheel for a chance to be entered into a raffle for a helmet signed by Tommie Harris. RJ actually won the wheel spin and got entered into the raffle. Unfortunately "Mario Garcia" was the winner of the helmet. Lucky kid.
We met Roger and Megan (we shot their wedding on April 21st) and watched the practice together. While I'm sure that our kids drove them nuts, RJ and Heidi LOVED Megan. Heidi wants Megan to be her babysitter.
Soldier Field sold out 45,000 tickets just to see the Bears practice. This is going to be a fantastic season! Look for more pictures on August 20th when we head over to Indy to watch the Bears battle the Colts in a preseason game.
