38 more days!

Wow, Just a little over a month until we leave.....

The anticipation is growing......as I've finally had time to think about things a little bit.

Everything was due to be paid for on 12-24 (45 days ahead of time). While that was no fun, it just proved that there is no turning back now. :)

38 more days til we leave but only 30 more days until I start packing.

Dustin & Samantha November 3, 2007

Dustin and Samantha began their life together on November 3, 2007.

I had been looking forward to their wedding since they booked us. I knew we'd get fabulous images that I am looking forward to adding both to the studio walls as well as to our wedding album samples. (I was right.....it's hard to pick which ones to add to the samples we show)

I felt right at home with everyone. I have had the honor of photographing not only their engagement photos, but Samantha's sister's wedding, as well as her niece and nephew. I have photographed Dustin's 2 neices and nephew as well as one of his sisters a number of times.

Both of their families are so nice and a joy to work for.

I look forward to working with the their families again in the future and wish Dustin and Samantha nothing but the best!

Thanks again for choosing Photo Graphics to capture your special day!

Mark & Michelle October 27, 2007

Mark and Michelle got married on a beautiful day in late October.

This wedding was different than usual because my husband Rick was a groomsman. (Rick, Mark, Larry and Travis have all been friends since they were in school together)

While he looked nice in a tuxedo and I didn't have to instruct him at all about how to stand or where to be when, it is nice having him on my side of the camara. (I didn't realize how much help he actually is to me during a wedding) :)

I couldn't be happier for Mark. The day was relaxed and lots of fun. (and full of surprises....like wigs for all the guys in the wedding party).

We wish Mark and Michelle a lifetime of happiness!

Rock ON!

This photo shoot has been in the works for over a year.

I saw these "AB/CD" shirts a year or so ago, but could only find them in onsies. I finally found a nice high quality t-shirt and snagged them up for both kids.

Then the hunt was on for rockin cool looking guitars. I scored at Target. Only $10 each.

Then we had to start growing RJs hair out. Now, to each their own, but RJ's hair is kept short. My boy's hair should be/ will be kept short. Except of course if you're a rock star.

It was finally long enough to style and everything came together just perfect. I couldn't be happier.

These are being printed now. 16x20's for the wall. I can't wait.......

Holly Jolly Christmas

Every year, The Jasper County Chamber of Commerce is kind enough to invite me back to be the official photographer of the Jasper County Holly Jolly Christmas "picture with the characters" night.

My kids love it. RJ looks forward to seeing Bumble all year long and this year Heidi loved Hermie the dentist.

Lyric Master

RJ is a singer.

He was singing today for something fun to do.

I had to laugh. This is what I heard........

On the 12th day of Christmas my true LORD sent to me,

5 gold rings
4 "call"y birds
3 hench hens
2 turtle bugs
and a
part perched in a pear tree.

Thats my boy!

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree.....

2 Years ago, I was too swamped to put up a tree at all. I stole Stephanie's poor little decorative pre lit tree off of her porch on December 21st and that was our tree.

Last year we put our tree up on the 20th. A "live" tree that was already dead when we bought it. But it was spray painted green like they all are, so you couldn't really tell unless you touched it and it started falling apart.

This year as I am buried under in editing. (no worries, everyone's orders will get done), I realized this was going to be a no tree year again unless we put one at the studio. Let's face it, no of us would have ever seen it if it was at home anyway.

I went a different route this year and we have a football tree instead of my classic silver ornament and red bow tree, with a bow on top. This year a football sits atop the tree and I LOVE it. Not that the Bears season is worth celebrating this year, but that's what makes a true fan anyway. Loving a team even when they're not worth loving.

The Bear tree will have to become a studio tradition.
