Wii Sunday

I keep forgetting to post about the weight loss......I have still been weighing in each Wednesday. I stayed the same, gained a pound, then lost a pound, leaving me right where I left off. 37 or 38 pounds, honestly I can't remember, and am too lazy/ exhausted to look.

We went Wii shopping today though, and I bought Wii fitness. RJ got star wars, Heidi got princess, and Rick got Madden 08, which I strongly protested, only because of my deep hatred for Jon Madden. I believe at one point during football season last year, I may have alluded to the fact that I wanted him to watch Brett Favre get injured and have a heart attack. Well.....I still stand by that.

Anyway, I am incredibly impressed by Wii Fit. I had this nice little cartoon character of me and then when I weighed and stepped on the balance board, it made me this fat little creature, which I am sure looks just like me. The board also grunts when I stand on it. Sadly, it does not grunt when anyone else stands on it. I think it hates me.

I worked my butt off, while RJ and Heidi both laughed at how ridiculous I looked. Rick and I did a 2 person running excercise and then his character finished well before mine. His character then cheered me on/mocked me until I finished the race.

I think it will be a nice tool if I can just spend some time on it every day. Another weight update to come on Wednesday.

New Colors!

The Fedex man made my day today, by bringing me 3 new backdrops!

I only buy them a few times a year and nothing beats that new paint smell!

I can't wait to do Heidi's swimsuit pictures on my new blue!

Here are a few practice ones just to see the colors.

.............................

I got a phone call today from a client, whom I have grown to know well and really enjoy. A lovely woman, with a beautiful family and 2 gorgeous children. Her son passed away unexpectedly today.

My heart broke for her and her family. I can't imagine the hurt they are feeling.

I tucked my kids into bed tonight and I cried, and cried. And I am SO not a cry-er. I forget how lucky I am to have 2 fantastic kids and a husband that would do anything for me.

Remember to hug your family today, and thank God for every day you get to spend with them.

It's Official!

Now of course, I starting planning '09's Disney trip on the plane ride home from this year's trip, but I hadn't really let Rick in on all the details yet.

But now, it's official. With gas getting so high, Rick was worried that the plane fares would get higher so when he saw a deal, he jumped on it. Plane tickets have been purchased!

Feb 5th-10th, we will be heading back to the happiest place on earth!

This year, we are even taking Miss Kaitlin with us since she's never been!

Knights vs. River Dogs

RJ's team (Knights) took on the Cole Farley and the River Dogs......

RJ got a bit bored when playing the outfield, but loved hitting.

Miss Kaitlin even came to see him play and brought him fun dip for afterwards.

RJ was incredibly proud of the grass stains on his knees and loved batting last because he got to run all of the bases at the same time. (He swears he hit a home run) He got pitched to all 3 times at bat. I was pretty impressed.

Cole Farley had the hit of the night though. His coach/pitcher may never be the same. :)

Play Ball!

RJ has his very 1st t-ball game today!

After much discussion with my friends who have sons, (Sarah, Maranda, etc.) it was decided that jeans and tennis shoes just wouldn't do. If you are gonna play t-ball, you must dress the part! So, RJ and I went up to Jerry's to get ball pants, socks, and cleats yesterday!

He'll probably be the only one on his team in a uniform, but I think he looks cute.

Go Knights!

20/20 vision

RJ had his very first visit to the eye doctor today.......I'm pleased to announce that he isn't blind, which I sort suspected.......

He did not understand why he needed to go when he could see fine. He also DID NOT want a shot in his eye. I can't really blame him there.

Dr Sanders had to reassure him, that under no circumstances regardless of whether or not he needed glasses, he would NOT ever get a shot in his eye.

He passed all of the tests with flying colors. Rodney did too! He even got sunglasses for the ride home since they dialated his eyes.

Strawberry Fest '08

I took Friday afternoon off work to spend time with the kids.....we enjoyed lunch with Sarah, Jack, Michelle, Gabe, and Dexter at the Strawberry Fest.

The kids were incredibly disappointed that the rides weren't open yet, so we headed back a couple hours later to get wristbands for the rides. (my kids sure do love that dragon!)

They had to have ridden the rides 50 different times. I think it's the first time I've ever felt like I got my money's worth out of the wristbands.

Saturday morning we headed up to the parade. Heidi walked in the parade with the Berry Babies. She sure was cute in her petticoat that I finally had a reason for her to wear. I was so proud of her too; she walked from the highschool to the bank, and then back to St Thomas. She was exhausted!

She loved throwing candy to the people, but had to be told a number of times that we aren't throwing candy AT the people. I'm sure that some people DID NOT think it was cute that she hit them.
