Say a little prayer

As many of you know, I am an avid NFL fan. I'm replacing my Chicago Bears post for the week and instead am going to post about an injury that occured to a player on the Buffalo Bills team.

The Bills were playing the Denver Broncos Sunday afternoon.

Tight End Kevin Everett suffered a scary injury on the kickoff return to start the second half.

Everett lowered his head into Denver return man Domenik Hixon's shoulder and made the tackle, but appeared to be out cold on his feet before falling to the turf, where he lied motionless for several minutes.

He didn't move as they loaded him onto a back board and transported him to the hospital where he underwent emergency surgery for a cervical spine injury. Reports are that HOPEFULLY he'll walk again.

I'm the first one to forget that these men actually do put themselves in harms way for my enjoyment once a week. Obviously this young man's career is over, but hopefully his quality of life isn't......

Please say a prayer for Kevin Everett and his family.
